From 1 July 2020, Carer Gateway service providers also have a dedicated young carer support worker to assist you in finding the right supports. Young Carers Connect (YCC) is a safe online space for young carers aged 12-25 years to engage with each other and find support.
How do I get the younger carers package?
The package is for all young carers age 11 to 18 years old. You can get the younger carers package by registering for a Young Scot membership. A young carer is someone under the age of 18 who helps look after, or whose life is affected by, a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem.
