Betty Schutt of Cortez passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2000 at University Medical Center in Denver. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church. A reception will follow the service. She was born Betty Jean Diers on June 14, 1928, in Sheboygan, Wis., to Viola Grupe Diers Henning and Harold Diers.
