• What is pto and how does it work?

  PTO stands for paid time off and refers to the time that employees are paid for when they aren’t working. PTO includes paid vacation, sick time, holidays and personal time. Companies sometimes bundle vacation days, sick time and personal days into one PTO package, and employees have the freedom of using their time however they please.

• What’s new at Walnut PTO?

  Thank You Walnut PTO! The C.A.R.E. program was started in 2017 as a part of TUSD’s effort to increase social and emotional supports and access to mental health services to all students. Information on enrollment in Walnut Elementary Education Center is now available including parent information night and the annual lottery.

  We have an active and involved PTO that supports the school and its efforts in the classroom. • How do you calculate PTO per day?

  To calculate the amount of PTO you receive each pay period, multiply the number of days by the time you would work on those days. For example, if you receive 15 days off per year and you work eight-hour days, you will earn 120 hours per year.

• What is a PTO rollover?

  A PTO approach in which employees are allotted a number of days per year that either expire or rollover on a particular date. This date is typically January 1, or based on the employee’s hire date.
