Throughout his childhood, Sam dreamt of a career in bootmaking. Only three years after landing in America, the Lucchese Boot Company was born in San Antonio, Texas. The Lucchese family has kept the tradition alive. Not until the early 1960’s was the company vision improved which entirely changed the art of boot making.
A year later, the Lucchese brothers moved to San Antonio, Texas where they founded the Lucchese Boot Company. Established at Fort Sam Houston, a United States Cavalry school, Lucchese quickly became the primary bootmaker for both the US Cavalry and cowboys alike.
It is an Italian surname that can be traced back to Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of the 20 regions of Italy.
