In order to change the phone number associated with your GroupMe account, you’ll first need to access the desktop version of GroupMe. From there, the process is pretty simple, on smartphones of any type!
To start using GroupMe, you have to provide a phone number. But before you do, you must download the app first. It’s free and available on the Google Play Store, Apple Store, or the Windows Phone Store. The next step is to create an account. This process is fairly straightforward. You need to provide your email address and a strong password.
GroupMe messages do not appear on your phone bill. Your account is indeed connected to your phone number, but the app is free to use. By linking your app accounts to your phone number, you make sure you’re the only one who’ll be able to access them.
PINs can take up to five minutes to arrive, but if you’ve waited for a while and still haven’t received your PIN, it may be because GroupMe can’t send PINs to your cell phone carrier or internet phone service, like Google Voice. The good news is that GroupMe will work on these services once your phone number is verified.
