  • How do you apply for heap in Ohio?

    Applying for the Ohio LI- HEAP program is a fairly easy process, all you need to do is obtain and fill an application form, from your nearest Ohio LI- HEAP office. After filling the application you should mail it back and wait for a response from the Ohio LI- HEAP program.

  • When are heap payments sent?

    HEAP provides one payment, ranging from $184-$306 every 12 months. Since HEAP is an assistance program, HEAP will only credit one utility company and that credit will take 8-12 weeks to appear on your utility bill. If you receive a HEAP credit, you are still responsible for paying your utility bill while the credit is being processed.

  • When do heap payments start?

    The benefit is paid either directly to the heating vendor or utility company. You can apply for HEAP every year when the program is open. The HEAP benefit opens October 1, 2021 . The deadline to submit applications is March 15, 2022.
