St Fagans Castle has one of the most important historic gardens in Wales. It is a multi-period, extensive garden in compartments and terraces. There is an underlying Tudor structure, but the layout is now predominantly Victorian and Edwardian, retaining much of its structural planting. It is now the National History Museum of Wales.
Prams and pushchairs are welcome in St Fagans but they cannot be taken into most of the historic buildings. You can take a pushchair or pram into Oakdale Institute, St Teilo’s Church and Gwalia Stores. If you use an adaptive pushchair or wheelchair, please visit our Access Page.
A wonderful pub. Fagans was the first port of call for pre dinner drinks for me and my daughter. We arrived around 7pm to find we were the only patrons. Apparantly the place had just emptied out at the end of a live music session. A proper pub...
