If you still cannot locate your contact lens in your eye, wait a few minutes or hours . Blinking will dislodge the contact lens if it is still in there. After that, you can be certain that your contact lens has fallen out and is not in your eye.
A contact lens , or simply contacts , is a thin lens placed directly on the surface of the eye . Contact lenses are considered medical devices and can be worn to correct vision, or for cosmetic or therapeutic reasons.
Decide which eye you want to remove first. Cup one hand under the eye you are removing the contact lens from. Use the forefinger on your other hand to gently pull the corner of your eye further away from the outside of your face. This should loosen the contact and it should pop off your eye .
The good news is that due to the structure of the eye, a contact lens can’t actually ‘get lost’ in your eye . There’s a membrane called the conjunctiva that lines the eyelid and meets with the sclera (a tough layer that covers the entire eye) in order to keep out foreign particles from the rest of the eye.
