Eminence is served by the Eminence School Corporation. Eminence has a public library, a branch of the Morgan County Public Library. Glenn M. Curtis, four-time Indiana state champion basketball coach (Lebanon & Martinsville) and coach at Indiana State and the high school coach of John Wooden .
Eminence, Indiana. Eminence is an unincorporated community in Adams Township, Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.
Eminence was laid out in July 1855 by William Wigal. The name possibly is commendatory; but according to some accounts it is descriptive, as the village site allegedly was the highest point between Indianapolis and Vincennes when State Road 67 was surveyed. The post office at Eminence has been in operation since 1857.
Eminence Introduces the Custom Shop. Eminence has greatly expanded their custom design capabilities to include modifying stock models for end users. Services include building alternate impedances of existing models, and a guitar speaker break-in service.
The first Eminence facility, located in downtown Eminence, employed around thirty people. The building was less than 6,000 sq. ft. and production was often less in one week than it is in one hour at our present facility. In 1972 Eminence Speaker moved to a new location in Shawnee Industrial Park on Mulberry Pike where we remain today.
