• What are conga drums made of?

  Our Conga drums feature steam bent stave construction. Hand crafted in American Red Oak, Wanut and /or Maple with polished stainless steel hardware. Each stave is matched to the grain to each other to maintain their aesthetic appearance of the woods grain natural design.

• What are syntsynthetic conga heads?

  Synthetic conga heads were developed to combat this issue because they aren’t nearly as susceptible to the weather changes. They come in a range of designs by brands like Remo and Evans and sound good on either wood or fiberglass drum shells. Early conga heads were tacked on the drum and tuned near a flame to remove moisture.
