Despite releasing as a launch title via PS Plus on PlayStation 5 for two months, Bugsnax has outsold Octodad: Dadliest Catch, Young Horse’s previous hit indie game. In January 2021, Young Horses confirmed that a followup to Bugsnax is in the works.
