Victoria Christina Hesketh (born 4 May 1984), better known by her stage name Little Boots, is an English electropop singer-songwriter and DJ. She was previously a member of the band Dead Disco.
With the same Station Master, Trevor Beaven MBE, for over 40 years, Pewsey train station holds a special place in the hearts of locals in the rural village in Wiltshire, twenty miles south of Swindon.
The station is on the Berks and Hants line, 75 miles 26 chains (121.22 km) measured from London Paddington, and served by intercity trains operated by Great Western Railway between London and the West Country. The average journey time to Paddington from Pewsey is just over an hour.
The train evacuating the Pevensie children from London Paddington stops at a rural station which is identified by the train guard as Pewsey. In actuality, the scene was shot at Highley Station on the preserved Severn Valley Railway.
Pewsey sees higher passenger numbers than many other stations of its size, as many of the neighbouring areas are not served by stations of their own. By in 2015, despite Beaven’s best efforts, the bridge had become very run down and finally got the $456k upgrade it needed.
