February 7, 2007 - St. Louis, MO - July 24, 2006 - Paulo Products Company announces the purchase of the metal treating and brazing business of Bodycote Thermal Processing, located in St. Louis, MO. Paulo will transfer the processing of all work for customers, resulting from this acquisition, to its existing facilities.
Specialised coatings are used extensively to prolong the working life of components and protect them from environmental factors such as corrosion and abrasion. The range of coatings available from Bodycote covers a wide variety of applications, providing solutions for manufacturers in virtually every market sector.
In 1980 it went on to buy Zinc Alloy Rust Proofing Ltd, which was the beginning of its metallurgical coatings business. In 1990 Bodycote acquired Metallurgical Testing Services Ltd (MTS) of Edinburgh from Murray International plc, laying the foundations for what would become Bodycote’s materials testing business.
Bodycote is the market leader in the vacuum heat treatment of aerospace components such as precision cast turbine blades, with experience in every generation of material including the latest single crystal alloys.
